Red Dress (December 29th, 2022)
My original character, Hellraiser, in a dress. I really enjoyed the deep red on beige that I chose. His theme is now blue, but red still fits him all the same. I’ll assume this took 15 minutes.
All Up In Your Mind (March 19th, 2023)
Multitudes of semi-self portraits and a personal interpretation of a past companion. I created this in an attempt to make sense of my emotions and the situation that happened between us. This is actually was heavily inspired by “ALL UP IN YOUR MIND” by Beyoncé, hence the name! This took 13 hours!
Commander in Commando (July 17th, 2023)
My original character, Kratos, in a backless dress. Originally, this was meant to be a back muscle study, but I decided to add more to test my lighting and mood skills. This took 1 hour and 55 minutes!
MR. BTB (July 21st, 2023)
My mascot/one of my online personas, Mr. BTB. He is the eldest of the Sons of the Matriatch, a group of siblings that run the Interdimensional Colosseum. This piece was the easiest way to show his full look. This took 2 hours!
Too Much (May 13th, 2023)
This part two of a three parter concept idea for my upcoming book series, A Dictatorial Legacy. This was supposed to be Chief Batanero and Kratos fighting towards the end of one of the books. They end up over exerting their powers, causing them to be utterly dazed and consumed by their own powers. This took 1 hour and 10 minutes!
Backgrounds
Lunar Eclipse (September 12th, 2023)
The original background was actually used for a commission—meaning this is was repurposed. Since it was originally a picture of a sunrise, I thought it’d be more interesting to do something otherworldly. I’ll assume this took an hour and a half.
A Dictatorial Legacy: First Timers (Webtoons): Chapter 3 Redraw (June 19th, 2023)
Back in 2022, I created a version of ADL on Webtoons. It boosted my following on Instagram and it led to my highest following on any of my accounts: 5.1k followers. Unfortunately, the original account is now shadowbanned indefinitely, but it still holds fond memories. I don’t recommend reading the old Webtoons since it comes off as didactic more than anything. This took 2 hours and 40 minutes!
Snowbound 2023: Blizzard Buzzkill (January 11th, 2023)
Snowbound was a short lived event I hosted during the beginning of 2023. I was new to procreate and insisted on forcing myself to utilize it as much as I could (I hated it). The event was fully written, but not fully drawn. This took 3 hours and 20 minutes!
Soft & Cozy (September 15th, 2023)
Because I was really proud of the background of the A Dictatorial Legacy: Autumn Promo, I developed it further after finishing the original piece. My favorite part to look at are the leaves. I’ll assume this took 7 hours.
The Star Seraglio (September 18th, 2023)
Though this isn’t technically a background, I felt like this was a prime chance to show off my architectural skills. This is a government building in my ADL series that I take great pride in. This took 3 hours!
Character Designs and Concepts
Astrid Kazi, The Illustrious Investor (August 17th, 2023)
BTB Original Characters are characters that I make out of leisure without having to make a full story for them. Astrid was a mindless sketch that I made in 2017-2018. I’m currently making a series where I redraw all my leisure OCs on my Instagram page! This took 1 hour and 53 minutes!
Phantom Of The Night Concepts (April 8th, 2023)
Hellraiser’s blue design came out of the idea of him being a ghost instead of a demon (which is why he was red in the first place). With the color change, I felt it was appropriate to make him much more calmer, yet almost apathetic. This took 1 hour and 19 minutes!
When The Street Lights Come On: Parent Concepts (February 28th, 2023)
I tend to draw up concepts whenever I’m unsure about the characters’ apperance. WTSLCO has a lot of history and has been through many rewrites. Mrs. Wyatt and Mr. Rastelli have been the most consistent out of the whole roster! This took 2 hours and 30 minutes!
A Dictatorial Legacy: Ascension Height Chart (June 13th, 2023)
This is the most recent height chart for the ADL mains. It was a bit difficult to scale them down straight from their individual sheets, but very rewarding to see them altogether. This took 13 minutes (excluding the individual characters, just counting the organization and compiling. Their character sheets took 30+ hours accumulatively)!
Updated Art Style (September 8th, 2023)
This is my most current art style. For a long time, I was frustrated with my art because it just didn’t have the level of grittiness or uniqueness that I wanted to have. I was always anxious about messy lineart, having my masculine characters look feminine, Having to compromise aesthetic to convey emotion/mood more effectively, etc etc. I was scared of going out of bounds with “traditional” realistic cartoon art. After months of giving up and trying again, I finally nailed what I wanted. I often look back at Kratos’s front facing view just to admire it. This took 3 hours and 4 minutes!

When The Street Lights Come On: Simplified Logo (July 4th, 2023)
During a burnout, I drew up multiple concepts around midnight to be a bit productive without exacerbating the burnout. I did the regular title card then did the simplification for the Instagram’s profile picture. This took 30 minutes!
A Dictatorial Legacy: Summer Promo (July 11th, 2023)
I loved lining this piece. I had to look at many water references to get the correct “texture” for the sea (both the still waters and waves). It was hard to have them be underwater realistically but still be visible, both in terms of their colors and general comprehension. This took 12 hours!
When The Street Lights Come On: C23 Promo (September 12th, 2023)
I sketched this piece months before I lined, colored, and rendered. During this time, I updated the show’s style and had to freehand most of this to fit the current style. The thickening of the outer outline took longer than expected, but it was definitely worth it. This took 4 hours and 16 minutes!
A Dictatorial Legacy: Autumn Promo (September 15th, 2023)
This is the first fully rendered piece I’ve done after updating my art style and, in turn, A Dictatorial Legacy’s style. I believe that if 14 year old Brookie saw this, he’d lose his mind. I’ve always aspired to have a style that was comforting to look at. I think that this piece is my best yet. This took 8 hours!
When The Street Lights Come On: C25 Promo (September 12th, 2023)
Just like the C23 Promo, I sketched this months prior and had to freestyle to maintain consistency. This was a lot more fun since there were more characters, more expressions, more to look at. My favorite part to do was the brick wall behind the four boys. This took 4 hours and 15 minutes!
Alternative Styles
Alone (July 30th, 2023)
This character appears in the “All Up In Your Mind” piece at the bottom. There’s a version where they have a more human look, which is the first part in the three parter “series”. This was just my idea of how that other person may feel. This took 1 hour and 27 minutes!
Night Demon (June 1st, 2023)
This was based off of an X (formerly Twitter) post about the words “Pride Month” slowly darkening into the word “demon”. I did multiple pride versions of this but ultimately preferred the plain version. This took 1 hour and 39 minutes!
run. (February 4th, 2023)
I submitted this as an album cover in an art contest for the singer/YouTuber “tuv”. Unfortunately, I didn’t get picked, but this was an easy and quick way to play around with textures for me. I did multiple versions and this happens to be my favorite. I’ll assume this took 20 minutes.
Nethermorph (July 10th, 2023)
I’m a big fan of One Punch Man and got into it when I was in 7th grade. The last time I did a self insert character (aside from ADL) was all the way back when I was in 1st grade. It was a PPG OC named Britney. Now I’m doing cooler things. Like making OPM OCs. I’ll assume this took 30 minutes.
The Heir & The Hare (September 13th)
I haven’t properly painted digitally since 2021 because I somehow convinced myself that rendering is beyond my ability and I’d take 300 years and 2 minutes to render. This piece took 3 hours and 10 minutes!
Fanart
Ice and Nick (April 16th, 2023)
I’ve always liked Nicki Minaj as an artist growing up, so this was long overdue. I got really interested in Ice Spice when she released “In Ha Mood”. Their collaboration was a very fun surprise. This took 2 hours and 8 minutes!
The World Is Theirs (March 9th, 2023)
I rarely draw fanart, but I wanted to make a change this year. I grew up on early 2010s YouTube, which meant a lot of Vocaloids and Japanese cartoons. Hatsune Miku was the most recognizable figure—so much so that she had her own song on Just Dance that I would spend a bunch of time on. Putting her next to my semi-robotic character just made the most sense. This took 2 hours and 20 minutes!
Black Butler, BTB Style (July 22nd, 2023)
Though it’s a redesign, it’s out of love to the original material. Black Butler is actually how I have Hellraiser as a character now (he was directly inspired by Undertaker). I wasn’t a big fan of how Sebastian looked and never understood how others found him attractive. I just thought this would be a nice warm up sketch regardless. This took 27 minutes!
Destiny Star Delivery! (July 22nd, 2023)
Destiny Star Delivery is a YouTube pilot that I’ve watched and throughly enjoyed. I followed the creator, @whentheisdoes, on Instagram before it released. Their animations are incredibly fluid and I go back to rewatch them just to see what elements I could incorporate in my animations. I hope nothing but the best for their new show. This took 1 hour!
Stampy The Cat (September 18th, 2023)
Stampylongnose/Stampylonghead was a crucial part of my childhood. I actually made fanart of him a long while ago when I was 8 or 9, but I’m too embarrassed to post it anywhere. I liked how whimsical and creative he was (and still is!) and felt as if this was an appropriate time to post this. He happens to be ending his Lovely World series soon as I type this. It wouldn’t feel right to not include him. This piece took 53 minutes!
